Not sure about Todd's idea on the BBQ. Ive seen people do it, but Im not sure what the rules are. I think its not allowed but nobody cares if you do. Any thoughts on that?

Also... Some people had difficulty finding us last year. We need to transform a bed sheet or something into some kind of highly visible banner. Any ideas?

Here's an idea: pick a specific spot in the park and put up a zoomed in google maps sateillite view pinning it? I know you can do GPS place mark things with keitais too but wakarimasen.

Obviously the 29th looks like the better of the two choices for a lot of folks. In which case it looks like I'll be waiting till next time around. But if the 5th is the date which is chosen I will be there and I'll even be able to stick around for a while - unlike last year. I'll keep watching to see what date you all decide upon.

My wife and I will be travelling from Arizona and would prefer the 29th Hanami Party.

hey everyone, my names Eyobe and im moving to japan on wednesday this week, so id love to come check out your hanami party, either days works for me, but any info updates soon would help out better cause this is my first time in japan and i dunno how to even get to yogi park

I would far prefer the 5th, as myself and several of my friends will be arriving in Japan on April 1st, and it would be great to meet all of you guys.

We'll be living in Japan for the entire month of April, so even if you guys decide to do Hanami before we arrive, we'd love to meet up for some beers with folks any other time during April.

One of my Korean study groups is having their hanami on the 29th at Koganei Koen (which is supposed to be better than Yoyogi! XD) so I officially vote for the 5th, but if it's on the 29th I'll still come because I know more Koreans and other hanamis...
I have homemade strawberry vodka! I'm thinking of making the drunken strawberries into some kind of gelatin snack.
