Few Questions

Postby 絵働韻=Edwin on Tue Nov 03, 2009 2:31 pm

Hi guys my name is Edwin, I'm 20 years old and I am from the Dominican Republic, actually I'm living in Boston as an US permanent resident, I came to US 4 years ago and I'm looking forward to become a US Citizen. I have like 8 months taking Japanese classes.
Now The Questions:
1- Can I apply for a Visa to go to Japan being a permanent resident in the US?
2- Is better to become a US citizen first?
3- Is better to go back to my country and ask there for a visa? which a think is a good option if I cant get it in the US.
4- Before I get the visa, which would be a good career to study in the US that will give me a Good Job once I get to Japan?

Ill do the best i can to answer your questions, i would look at cooneys Visa video

1. If you are planning on just visiting for less than 90 days, you wont need one. I was told i did not need one by the visa site\
2. doesn't matter really
3. sure go ahead if you still have citizenship over there
4. I belive you need a 4 year University degree to work in japan on a working visa.
