Question about Discrimination!

Postby MehmetAli on Wed Sep 23, 2009 9:13 am

Hi everyone,
I'm new to these forums and firstly I just wanted to introduce myself!
My name is Mehmet Ali (Meh-Met Aa-lee)... Now you can pronounce it! :D

Anyway, I was born and i live in Australia. However I am Turkish,
I was just wondering about how much discrimination I would recieve from the Japanese ( As in more or less then a American)..
Actually scratch that, No one would be able to answer that unless they are a Turkish person living in Japan... I'll ask another one!

Does anyone know what the relationship between Turkey and Japan is like?

And also I would like to purchase a bottle of Calpis and/or Pocari Sweat signed by Kevin Cooney.
Then i will make love to it and produce plastic bottle human offspring.
(Please send me a female bottle Kevin  )

That's very disturbing..But to answer your question about discrimination, Cooney will not answer it since he has gone over it many many times in his live sessions. Most of the discrimination you will receive (if any) is due to your ignorance and inability to speak Japanese (if you go there expecting to speak English or limited Japanese, you should never visit a country for any reasonable amount of time without being able to speak at the conversational level) it would be like someone speaking English with a very heavy Chinese accent and poor grammar to put it into another example. Unless you go to the really fashionable Harajuku area then yes you may experience SOME discrimination but chances are if you're going to Japan it's not to see all the expensive department stores that you can find in any other major big city, so you probably won't find your self there. Other then that the Japanese people are very friendly as demonstrated in Tokyo Eye # 124 where Kevin's parents came to visit.
