1) Travel to a hot spring. Japan is famous for many of its hot springs.

2)Visit Ueno Zoo or Shinagawa Aquarium

3)Episode on Soba Noodles where we get to see you make them

4)Visit one of the many Asahi Breweries, they have tours. Plus you can score free beer.

5)Takaosan recreation park

6)Halloween is coming around the corner. Maybe a special Halloween special. You can go out and TRY to trick or treat. Go with some of the other Vloggers in tokyo.

7)Episode on the Tea ceremony.

8)Fukuro Matsuri ~ Starts around the end of September I think the 22nd at the west side of Ikebukuro Station.

You realize not all people that are "into" Japan are into anime and manga, right?

You are absolutely entitled to your opinion, as I am mine. I am, in fact, into some manga, but Cooney has stated in the past he's not into it, so I don't think you'll get a vlog about it. Who wants to see something made, where the author isn't interested in the subject matter, anyways?

You mentioned it in every suggestion post. You made your point the first time. Japan is so much more than its pop culture and analysis of it has been done to death. I'd like to see some of the more obscure stuff.

Ok ,i'll shut up about the manga. I did not notice cooney wasn't into that kind of stuff. I'll have to rewatch somme vids.

Hey cooney. You should go see one of those hot springs or a tea ceremony. Now THAT is japanesey right?
Anyway, looking forward to your next vid.

Hi all.

A few suggestions. Might be cool, might not, who knows.....

1. Explain the joys of "Sweet Bean Paste" you might as well eat some good food for once....

2. Next time your get on Yakota AFB or Camp Zama for a festival, experience the joys of Popeye's Chicken.

3. Go annoy my In-Laws for a day. They're down in Hadano.

4. Tell everyone about the Japanese Doctor that had a surrogate kid in India and the brouhaha it caused over there when his wife divorced him....

I'm interested in what a car dealership is like in Japan. Is it the same as America? I heard they have some pretty high tech dealerships. I think it was Lexus or Toyota that had some kind of "vending machine" for cars. You just press a button and the car is brought out with some sort of crane thing.

That's actually a pretty good idea but I don't think TC would every buy a car in Japan. I bet he doesn't have a drivers license because they are expensive to get (about $4000 bucks)

BUT, if one of his friends went out to buy a new car, it would be cool if he tagged along.

BTW, they don't have car vending machine. But they do store cars in automated garages, which is sort of similar. You might be thinking of Smart Cars. When they first went on sale in Europe, the dealerships looked just like vending machines and worked in that manner...

Had a few more ideas (whether they're any good or not...that's up to you ;)

-since you like to present different Japanese foods to your viewers, maybe you and a friend go out and cook up some takoyaki (inevitably, somebody burns themself making takoyaki...that's good TV!)

-a day at only the best flipping store in the universe...Tokyu Hands

-I never have made it to the Yebisu Beer Museum...would that make interesting viewing?

-I know you touched on it a bit in one of your shows, but it'd be cool to see the entire process of you making your umeshu aka plum hooch (although if the plum season just happened, I guess that'd be a ways off)

Three things:

1. Video about martial arts like for example Aikido (Just go on a training to a local school)

2. Make a cooking show :) or at least a cooking show of the most popular food stuff in Japan.

3. You traveled in the country side in your last vid. Would be also nice to see other parts of Japan. Like historical ex. castles, old houses, mount Fuji :) and stuff like this. So if you have the time and money please do.

See ya

One Word: GEISHA.

Talk to some. Check out the area. I hear that most of the geisha houses are located in one area. What's myth? what's fact? Did the movies get it right? No?

Hmm, an idea?

Postby crazyforcooney on Sat Oct 18, 2008 3:36 pm

Maybe. Unless it's too lame. :?

I think it'd be cool if you did a vlog where you went skiing in Japan. :D Or snowboarding, if you're into all that. 8)

Cheers! :D

I don't know whether someone else has already suggested this, but I wouldn't mind seeing a video on the Shonan Monorail.

For reference:

I don't exactly know what you'd talk about whilst filming (or even if you'd want to do it - it looks very scary to me, to be honest) but, I'm sure you'd think of something funny to keep us all entertained. [:
